In the last year, not just India's ODI World Cup loss but also Pat Cummins' brutal and sarcastic remarks have deeply affected the sentiments of Indian fans. 

However, Rohit Sharma's every single boundary and maximum during the recently concluded India versus Australia clash of the T20 World Cup 2024 almost felt like he was out for much-awaited revenge.

Amidst all this, the Indian fans did not hold back by giving it back to Pat Cummins after the Men In Yellow failed against India in the second last game of the Super 8 stage. A viral video has taken over the internet in which a fan is heard yelling at Cummins as he is on his way to the dressing room.  

"Hey Pat! That's for 2023. That's revenge for 2023. Remember Ahmedabad? You're going home tomorrow."

Although Mitchell Marsh won the toss and opted to bowl first, the decision proved costly despite them getting two early wickets as skipper Rohit Sharma played a blinder of a knock scoring 92 in 41 deliveries helping India deposit 205/5 in 20 overs.

While chasing, Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh gave Australia an electrifying start but Kuldeep Yadav's introduction coupled with Jasprit Bumrah's heroics ended their hopes of winning.
