Aakash Chopra, a former Indian cricketer and now a renowned commentator, recently lauded Kuldeep Yadav's remarkable rise in international cricket. From shedding tears during the IPL to becoming a key player for India in the T20 World Cup, Kuldeep's transformation is a testament to his resilience and determination.

Kuldeep Yadav, who was introduced by captain Rohit Sharma in the Caribbean leg of the 2024 T20 World Cup, has been the unsung hero of India's successful and unbeaten Super 8 campaign.

He picked 7 wickets in three games with a crucial 2 wicket haul against Australia, which sealed India's semi-final berth. Yadav dismissed Glenn Maxwell and Mitchell Marsh to limit the Aussies 24 runs short in a 205-run chase.

That being said, following Kuldeep Yadav's valour in the ongoing T20 World Cup, ex-cricketer Aakash Chopra recollected the wrist spinner's rough days and praised him for an inspiring rise against the odds.

"Kuldeep Yadav - there are many stories. Remember, he is the same player who cried in an IPL match. This is the same Kuldeep Yadav who sat on the bench for an entire year and was dropped in every format," Aakash Chopra said on his YT channel.

Chopra revealed that Kuldeep Yadav is a man with many stories. He cried in an IPL game and was dropped for an entire season before literally disappearing from the international scene for a while.

"However, if you see Kuldeep Yadav now, you can see the entire Test series against England, the performance in the entire ODI World Cup, and the last match or this one, he has been absolutely outstanding. He bowled four overs here and conceded only 24 runs and picked up two wickets, and who were the two victims - Mitchell Marsh and Glenn Maxwell. What a player. The rise and rise of Kuldeep Yadav."

However, in the past 12 months, Kuldeep Yadav has left his mark everywhere. From ODI World Cup to five game Test series against England to now the T20 World Cup. His resurgence will be remembered for ages as Chopra seemed heavily impressed by the wrist spinner.
