Despite the setback, which kept him ruled out of cricket for a good two months, he missed Afghanistan’s tour of India, followed by the test series against England.

Suryakumar Yadav recently posted a video on his social media accounts as he shared his recovery journey along with clips of him walking out of the hospital bed to his intense training sessions in the gym. Suryakumar Yadav captioned the post with “Recovery process on point”, as he looks back to make an impactful comeback in the 17th season of IPL.

Yadav led the Indian team in a three-match T20 series immediately after the conclusion of the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023. The series ended in a draw as one match of the game got washed away due to rain. During the third T20I game, Suryakumar pulled a threatening ankle injury and was immediately carried away from the field by the support staff.

Suryakumar Yadav will begin his IPL 2024 campaign with Mumbai Indians in the first test match against the previous season’s finalists Gujarat Titans. The teams will meet for the first time in the new season on March 24 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The team will begin their campaign under a new captain, Hardik Pandya, after their long-standing association with Rohit Sharma.
