After a brief hiatus due to back spasms, Shreyas Iyer, the dynamic Team India batter, is all set to make a resounding return for Mumbai in the upcoming Ranji Trophy 2024 semi-final clash. Iyer’s absence in the quarterfinal encounter raised concerns, but his availability for the crucial upcoming fixture against Tamil Nadu has injected a wave of optimism into the Mumbai camp.


Speculations over Iyer’s fitness were put to rest after the National Cricket Academy (NCA) confirmed that the talented cricketer had no fresh injuries, signaling his readiness to take the field. “Yes, (Shreyas) Iyer has confirmed to Mumbai Cricket Association that he is fit now and is available for Mumbai’s semi-final match,” a source revealed to  TOI, reflecting the eagerness of the player to contribute to Mumbai’s campaign in the Ranji Trophy.

With the semi-final showdown slated to commence from March 2, the inclusion of Shreyas Iyer is indeed a significant boost for Mumbai.
