Shreyas Iyer recently led KKR to IPL title win and had a decent outing with the bat as well. He was also one of India's premier batter in the World Cup 2023, but after failure in the Test series against England, and not participating in the domestic match, he was removed from the central contract by BCCI and since then has not been part of Indian team.

Now, with India's white-ball tour to Sri Lanka coming up, the man seems to be on a mission to make it count, and is working hard on his fitness. In a video that has gone viral on social media, Shreyas Iyer is seen spriting on the track even with rain pelting down in background.

India are currently playing T20Is in Zimbabwe, and Shreyas Iyer despite being not part of the T20 World Cup squad, was not selected for the series. So, it is highly unlikely that he will be part of T20Is in Sri Lanka, but he is a certainty in ODIs, and with Champions Trophy 2025 coming up, he would be looking to prove his credentials with consistency in the format.
