Babar Azam has been the centre of criticism since Pakistan's disastrous performance in T20 World Cup 2024 where they crashed out in the group stage. His strike rate in T20Is and leadership skills have come under the scanner and there are calls for his removal both as captain and as a player in T20Is. 

However, the man seems to be focused on his job rather than on the outside noise, and in a recent video is seen doing his batting drills in the nets. Along with his cricketing skills, Babar Azam is working hard on his fitness too as evident from few videos that have gone viral on social media.

Pakistan are next scheduled to play two-match Test series against Bangladesh which will start on 21st of August. Babar Azam is not the Test captain and Shan Masood will lead the side in that Test series, and it is a great opportunity for Babar Azam to concentrate his complete energy on batting.

Apart from Babar Azam, Pakistan's batting line-up as a whole has come under criticisim in recent times, and it won't be a surprise if there is a whole-sale change in their squad especially in the white-ball formats.
