India suffered a shocking defeat at the hands of Sri Lanka in the second ODI at Colombo. Chasing a paltry 241, the Indian batting unit failed to deliver and surrendered in front of the Sri Lankan spinners.

Jeffrey Vandersay, who replaced an injured Waninudu Hasaranga in the playing XI, was the star with the ball. The talented spinner picked up 6 for 33 in 10 overs as India collapsed from 97/1 to getting dismissed for 208.

With the first game ending in a tie, and Sri Lanka winning the second ODI, Team India can no longer win the series, and will be looking to end the tour on a high with a win in the final match on Wednesday.

Jayasuriya has intense chat with Virat Kohli

During India's chase, former skipper Virat Kohli, who looked in good touched, was trying to nudge an off-break from Akila Dananjaya down the leg side.

He was on the back-foot when the ball pinged him on the leg as the umpire raised his finger. Kohli, took the review, and the ultra-edge showed a spike, which was enough for the TV umpire to reverse the decision.

This frustrated the Sri Lankan players, as Kusal Mendis threw his helmet on the ground in pure frustration.

After the game, during the customary handshake, Kohli was stopped by Sri Lanka's interim coach, Sanath Jayasuriya, who too, wasn't happy with the umpire's decision. He had an intense conversation with the Indian superstar as both the legends patted on each other's back and moved ahead.

Rohit Sharma, the Indian skipper gave a flying start during the chase, but once he was trapped by Vandersay, the entire team fell like a pack of cards.
