The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is not going to punish Shaheen Afridi for disciplinary actions, the board himself confirmed the development.

There have been multiple reports that Shaheen will be banned from selections in Pakistan squad for their upcoming two-match Test series against Bangladesh, which will begin on August 21. However, it does not seem to be the case in real, as the PCB shut down all 'baseless' facts.

In fact, the PCB mentioned there is no disciplinary committee for any players either.

PCB Shuts Down Disciplinary Actions Claims For Players

"No disciplinary committee has been formed, nor has any decision been made to take action against any cricketer. The news about the formation of the committee and the task of making a report are baseless and contrary to the facts. The news regarding the imposition of bans and fines on players is fabricated," the PCB statement read.

It has been heard that Pakistan’s current two foreign coaches Gary Kirsten and Jason Gillespie, who have been holding head coaching positions for white-ball and red-ball formats respectively, advised the PCB not to take any such actions for the betterment of the team.

In this case, Shaheen will be available for selections when Pakistan, under Shan Masood, will play against Bangladesh later this month.
