Pakistan wicket-keeper batter Mohammad Rizwan was recently seen acknowledging Bangladeshi fans' love and unconditional support during a BPL press conference.

Mohammad Rizwan wrapped up a difficult T20I series against New Zealand and landed in Bangladesh to feature in the Bangladesh Premier League 2024 season. Despite being amongst the leading scorers, Rizwan saw his team suffer four back-to-back losses, resulting in a humiliating series loss.

Regardless, the wicket-keeper batter obtained an NOC from PCB and landed in Bangladesh sometime this week to embark on a new journey with the Comilla Victorians. Former Pakistan skipper Babar Azam also accompanied his teammate as he was signed by Rangpur Riders for the ongoing BPL season.

Meanwhile, Rizwan was subsequently featured in a recent game against Fortune Barishal but couldn't leave a meaningful impact. He was sent packing for 17 runs off 14 deliveries in the chase.

Nonetheless, Mohammad Rizwan won over the fans' hearts with kind words during the post-game press conference. When quizzed about his experience in Bangladesh, Rizwan said he has always felt at home in this country. The local fans consider him as one of their own.

Not only that, Rizwan added that the support he receives from Bangladeshi people is not too different from that he garners at his home in Peshawar, Pakistan. Besides, the batter expressed gratitude towards the franchise's coaching staff and teammates for treating him with utmost dignity and respect.

Overall, Rizwan expressed how he loves returning to Bangladesh, given an opportunity owing to the heartwarming reception from fans.

Having said that, Mohammad Rizwan is expected to extend his stay in Bangladesh for three more weeks before the Pakistan Super League's new season commences on the 17th of February. Notably, Rizwan is the captain of Multan Sultans and led the team to a maiden title victory back in 2021.
