Rajasthan Royals' middle-order dynamo Riyan Parag is already making waves at the pre-season camp, showcasing the form that made him one of the franchise's most valuable assets. Retained for an impressive INR 14 crore, Parag's importance to the Royals' setup has never been more evident.

Fresh from his stint in the Ranji Trophy Elite 2024-25 season, Parag has now shifted focus to the shorter format. In a video released by Rajasthan Royals on their official social media handles, the Assam all-rounder can be seen unleashing an array of spectacular shots during net sessions at the team's camp.

Riyan Parag Teases Form With Fiery Net Session In RR Camp

The footage on RR's official social media handle highlights Parag's versatility as he executes perfectly timed inside-out shots over extra cover against spinners, muscular pull shots against pace, elegant flicks off his pads, and slog sweeps that send the ball soaring into the skies. 

Parag's footwork appears crisp and decisive, suggesting he's carrying forward the confidence from his breakthrough season.

Notably, Parag was RR's surprise package last season, finishing as their highest run-scorer. The youngster smashed 573 runs at an average of 52.09 and a blistering strike rate of 149.21. 

Riyan Parag's Phenomenal Journey

Since joining Rajasthan Royals in 2019 as a promising teenager, Parag's journey has been one of steady growth and occasional brilliance. However, IPL 2024 marked his true arrival as he topped the six-hitting charts with 40 maximums while also contributing 11 wickets with his spin.

This all-round development culminated in his India debut during the Zimbabwe tour in July 2024, establishing him as one of Indian cricket's most exciting talents ahead of what promises to be another impactful IPL season.
