Ed Sheeran seems to be having the time of his life in India. After meeting the England cricket team in Pune during his concert, the global pop sensation took his love for cricket a step further by joining Rajasthan Royals at their camp.

And it wasn’t just a quick visit. Ed grabbed a bat and even hit a few shots that impressed the Royals’ players. Known for chartbusters like Shape of You and Perfect, Ed Sheeran surprised everyone with his cricketing skills.

Ed Sheeran Impresses Riyan Parag With His Bat Swing

Dressed in a Rajasthan Royals jersey sporting the name of the legendary Shane Warne on the back, Ed looked every bit like a part of the squad.

Ed Sheeran’s time at the nets turned into quite the spectacle. Riyan Parag and Tushar Deshpande joined him for a quick knock and the English singer showed off a surprisingly good bat swing. Parag was left impressed, admitting he didn’t expect Ed to have such a clean swing.

"He's gota good swing," Parag said with a grin clearly taken aback by Ed’s natural flair with the bat. The camp was filled with smiles and laughter as Ed comfortably mixed in with the Royals.

Before leaving, Ed added a special touch by gifting Ipswich Town jerseys to Riyan Parag and Tushar Deshpande. The players, in return posed for photos with him while holding a Rajasthan Royals jersey.

Rajasthan Royals Gearing Up For IPL 2025

While Ed Sheeran stole the limelight, Rajasthan Royals are all set to grab headlines in the upcoming IPL season. After falling short in IPL 2024 by losing to Sunrisers Hyderabad in Qualifier 2, they look hungrier than ever to go the distance this time.

Led by Sanju Samson, Rajasthan Royals have built a formidable squad. The likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel, and Shimron Hetmyer are already proven performers, while the new additions from the IPL 2025 auction—Jofra Archer, Tushar Deshpande, Wanindu Hasaranga, Maheesh Theekshana, and Nitish Rana—give the team a balanced look.

With such a strong squad and the experience of going deep into the playoffs, the Royals are looking like serious contenders for the IPL 2025 title. The addition of international stars and homegrown talent gives them the firepower needed to dominate.
