India won the Champions Trophy 2025 and the whole of Indian fans and cricket experts alike have stormed the internet with their tweets and voices congratulating India on the win, however, MS Dhoni's silence is pinching the fans from the onset.

As MS Dhoni’s muted response to the achievement has sparked intrigue, to add to the fuel, a recent video of Dhoni at an airport has gone viral which showed the cricketer's frustration towards a horde of reporters surrounding him.

MS Dhoni's Strange gesture Towards Reporter Goes Viral

A viral video captured Dhoni, brushing off a reporter’s question about India’s unbeaten campaign at an airport, signalling the journalist away with his hands without comment.

The moment drew mixed reactions, with some fans speculating about Dhoni’s detachment from the spotlight post-retirement, while others defended his right to privacy.

Dhoni, who last led India to a Champions Trophy title in 2013, has maintained a low profile since retiring from international cricket in 2020.

Dhoni's silence contrasts sharply with the effusive praise flowing toward current skipper Rohit Sharma and his squad, who dismantled New Zealand in the final to claim India’s third Champions Trophy crown.

Dhoni Preps In CSK Camp

Notably, Dhoni will return to the IPL in 2025 with Chennai Super Kings (CSK), albeit under Ruturaj Gaikwad’s leadership as the franchise hunts for a sixth title.

CSK’s season opener against Mumbai Indians on March 23 promises high-packed action, with Dhoni’s presence as a player-mentor already hyping up fans. Notably, the 43-year-old was also seen mentoring players in the CSK camp and muscling out some deliveries for six amping up the prep game.
