Champion Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant took to his Instagram stories on Monday to share a video of his teammate Shreyas Iyer batting during a practice match at the National Cricket Academy.
Pant, who is on a comeback trail since his near-fatal car accident last winter, was visibly ecstatic at being able to watch a live cricket match after a hiatus.
"Loved watching cricket after a long time," Pant wrote as he shared the video on his Insta stories.
In the video, Shreyas Iyer can be seen playing a cover-drive off medium-pacer Venkatesh Iyer.

The video of Shreyas batting is a heartening development for the Indian ODI set-up, which is currently sweating over the availability of two of their star middle-order batsmen in KL and Iyer ahead of the upcoming marquee tournaments.
India's squad announcement for the Asia Cup was delayed as the management was yet to get a green light over the duo's availability for the continental tournament.
The squad is expected to be announced later this week, and the Indian fans will hope that both batsmen make their way into the set-up in a bid to get valuable match-practice ahead of the 50-over World Cup.
