Rinku Singh shot himself to international fame earlier this year, after he made his way to the Indian playing XI following lucrative IPL seasons for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Mere weeks after starring in India’s series win over Ireland, the cricketer found himself among an elite pantheon that clinched Gold at the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou.

While the 25-year-old is yet to make his ODI debut for Team India, the dynamic southpaw surely has a number of favorite 50-overs stars as he has formed an all-time playing XI off his own.

In a video shared by the KKR franchise on their social media handles, Rinku Singh named numerous World Cup 2023 bound stars in his elite line-up, featuring the likes of Virat Kohli and Jos Buttler.

Cashing in on the 2023 World Cup hype, KKR shared a seemingly old video involving Rinku Singh, where the prodigious batting talent can be seen naming his all-time ODI playing XI. Sporting the KKR jersey, the cricketer handpicked five Indian players from their victorious 2011 World Cup line-up, including Virat Kohli, Gautam Gambhir, Suresh Raina, Yuvraj Singh and captain MS Dhoni.

Kohli, who is also bounded with Team India for the 2023 World Cup, is not the only player in Rinku’s XI from the ongoing cricketing carnival. His elite ODI force also features several Australian and English stars Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc, Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes.

Rinku Singh has been widely backed by a legion of cricket experts to make it into India’s expanded squad for next year’s 2024 T20 World Cup in West Indies.

The IPL cult hero has already impressed one-and-all with his brute force and ferocious hitting in the game’s truncated format, either for KKR in IPL or for Uttar Pradesh in Indian domestic cricket.
