The power of social media is frightening, as fans take mere seconds to approve or disapprove of the content provided to them. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), on account of Pakistan's 77th Independence Day celebrations on August 14, released a promotional video showcasing the best cricketing moments.

However, fans and former players were quick to notice that the video did not contain Pakistan's first-ever World Cup-winning captain Imran Khan in the footage and called out the PCB for their wrongdoing.

To avoid any negative chatter, the PCB has now rectified their error and released a new promotional video with footage of Khan, highlighting his contribution to Pakistan cricket.

The PCB on social media platform 'X' explained the reason behind Khan's omission and informed about more added content in the footage.

Here's what PCB tweeted

"The PCB has launched a promotional campaign leading up to the CWC 2023. One of the videos was uploaded on 14th August 2023. Due to its length, the video was abridged and some important clips were missing. This has been rectified in the complete version of the video,"

Khan is serving three years of jail time for his misconduct as Pakistan's Prime Minister in a corruption case.
