Indian cricket icon MS Dhoni has casted his vote for the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections. The former Indian captain was spotted arriving at a polling station in his hometown of Ranchi on Saturday, May 25.

MS Dhoni casted his vote in his hometown of Ranchi during the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha Elections on May 25. The former Indian captain, donning a casual t-shirt and sunglasses, was surrounded by a number of fans and media personnel as he was approaching the polling booth.

MS Dhoni recently returned to Ranchi from Bengaluru after his team CSK crashed out of the IPL 2024 playoffs race.

Mere days prior to the IPL 2024 season, the 42-year-old relinquished his captaincy duties in favor of rising star Ruturaj Gaikwad. Relieved from his leadership role, Dhoni went berserk with the bat this IPL 2024 season, scoring 161 runs from 11 innings with a splendid lower-order average of 53.66.

The legendary wicketkeeper-batter also scored his runs at a staggering strike-rate of 220.54, which accounted for the second-highest among all batters with more than 100 runs behind Delhi Capitals’ Jake Fraser-McGurk (234.4).

While several fans and experts have speculated IPL 2024 to be MS Dhoni’s final outing in competitive cricket, the CSK great himself is yet to officially confirm his IPL retirement.
