The D-Day is almost here and the excitement is soaring up and high, right through the sky! Sunrisers Hyderabad will lockhorns with Kolkata Knight Riders for one final time this IPL 2024 season at the iconic MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on May 25. While KKR beat SRH in Qualifier 1 to book their birth straight to the finals, Pat Cummins and Co defeated RR in the Qualifier 2 and reached the finals on Friday.

The Orange Army has had an outstanding season, it's more than appropriate to say that when Kavya Maran bid relentlessly for Pat Cummins, she knew what she was doing. His leadership has given the team a one of a kind sense of direction that has led them to this very moment, playing the IPL Final after 5 whole years.

But it would be unfair to not credit the success of the franchise to their openers, Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma, who have all through the season given the much-needed explosive starts to their team. It has helped SRH break their own records, twice this season.

However, as Cummins disclosed previously, that there was a reason why he did not play Head in their first game this season against KKR, it's because he knew the Starc effect on him. And as we saw in the first qualifier that Starc dismissed his Aussie team mate in a heartbeat for a golden duck.

Going forward, with such a crucial game he could choose to bring Mayank Agarwal in, in place of Travis Head. However, chances of that happening are very slim and highly unlikely. If anything, they might just stick with Aiden Markram, however he hasn't had a dreamy season too.

In the 2024 season, Head has amassed a total of 567 runs from 14 innings with a strike rate of 192.20. His highest score this season is 102 and has smashed 64 boundaries and 32 maximums. On the other hand, Mayank Agarwal has featured in 4 games this season and has scored 64 runs.

On the bowling front, the team looks locked and loaded, the experience of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, along with the skill and precision of Shahbaz Ahmed, T Natarajan, Jaydev Unadkat, they are a strong force to reckon with.

Let's take a look at their probable team for the upcoming game.
