After a long halt, Ishan Kishan is back on the field playing competitive cricket ahead of the IPL 2024. In the ongoing DY Patil T20 Tournament, Ishan Kishan was snapped grooving in his first game for RBI. Kishan, who opted out of the South Africa tour and was out of action since then.
However, Ishan Kishan was seen training with Hardik Pandya, who got injured during the World Cup. Along with the left-hander, Pandya has also made a return to the field representing the Reliance 1 team in the 18th DY Patil T20 Tournament.
While there were speculations about Shreyas Iyer, Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya being released from the BCCI central contract, all three of them are back in action with Shreyas Iyer ready to play for Mumbai in the semifinal of the Ranji Trophy 2024. Shreyas and Ishan though have been excluded from the central contract.
Reportedly, Ishan Kishan has not been able to score big on his return as his team lost the game by a huge margin of 89 runs.

The left-hander had an amazing opportunity to represent the Indian team in Test cricket against South Africa, but he turned it down and India found a gem in Dhruv Jurel. Now that he has made a return to competitive cricket ahead of the IPL and the T20 World Cup 2024, it will be interesting to see if Kishan will be there in the T20I team or not.
As per the suggestion of Rahul Dravid, Ishan Kishan has finally stepped onto the field after a while and will be eyeing the ticket to the USA and West Indies to represent the Indian team at the T20 World Cup 2024.
