T20 cricket is a format where a player can turn himself into a star with just one knock or just one spell, and that's what Jan-Loftie Eaton has done to draw the attention of the whole cricketing fraternity with just one knock in the T20I game of the ongoing Tri-series in Nepal.

With his heroics, he has managed to break the record of scoring the fastest T20I century against Nepal.

The Namibian batter, Jan Nicole Loftie-Eaton took just 33 deliveries and broke the world record of smashing the fastest hundred, surpassing the likes of David Miller and Rohit Sharma.

But who exactly Jan Loftie Eaton is, who has stunned the cricketing fans ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024?

The 22-year-old Jan Nicole Loftie-Eaton was born and brought up in the capital of Namibia, Windhoek. Back in 2018, Loftie made his first-class debut in the Sunfoil three-day cup and was also included in Namibia's Under 19 team.

Jan Nicole Loftie-Eaton, the left-handed middle-order batter, was later named in the 16-man squad for the T20 World Cup 2021, but could not turn his fortune back then. He made his T20I debut in 2021 against Uganda and has featured in 33 matches since then.

Although he got to bat on 21 occasions only, but he could not make a huge impact until now. He averages just 15 in the T20Is even after scoring the fastest T20I hundred.

In the ongoing Tri-series in Nepal, Jan Nicole Loftie-Eaton came out to bat at number five when his team were 62-3. With his exceptional hitting, he smacked a hundred in just 33 deliveries with the help of 11 boundaries and eight maximums, breaking the record of Kushal Malla, who himself witnessed his record getting broken while playing for Nepal.

From now on, Jan Nicole Loftie will look to keep this momentum going and help his team win games just like he did today against Nepal.
