The 15th match of World Championship of Legends 2024 between India Champions and South Africa Champions witnessed a bizarre incident when brothers Irfan Pathan and Yusuf Pathan had on-field spat with one-another due to miscommunication that eventually costed the game to the Indian team.

In the 19th over, Dale Steyn bowled a slower length ball and Irfan Pathan tried to slog however got a top-edge that travelled straight to the long-off. It would've been a direct catch had the fielder caught it however another player, Dane Vilas came running forward and took the ball into his hands and threw it straight towards the non-striker's end.

Irfan Pathan who already ran half way down the middle, failed to reach the crease in time and Steyn stationed right next to the stumps took the catch swiftly and disturbed the bails.

Irfan tried to convince Yusuf to run back for a double however, he failed to convince him as Yusuf did not budge. Just a millisecond later, in the aftermath of his wicket Irfan lashed out at his elder brother Yusuf as he did not run for the second run.

Eventually, India lost the game by 54 runs. They would next be seen in action against Australia Champions in the 2nd Semi-Final on 12 July.
