A big breakthrough moment game for Zimbabwe during their 3rd T20I against India as captain Sikandar Raza provided the first breakthrough after sending Yashasvi Jaiswal back to the pavillion for a well-made 36 off 27 balls.

Watch- Sikandar Raza Gets Yashasvi Jaiswal

In the first ball of the 9th over, Sikandar bowled a full length delivery on the off stump. Jaiswal got down on one knee and hoped to bring up the reverse hit. However, he failed to get the timing right as he got the bottom half of his bat on it. It ballooned towards the backward point, where Brian Bennett took a sitter.

With this, Jaiswal's good innings came to an end in the 9th over and Sikandar Raza came out on top after breaking the solid partnership between him and Shubman Gill. Raza looked too excited as Jaiswal trudged back to the dugout.

Interestingly, the Jaiswal-Gill stand is the first 50-plus opening stand for India in T20Is since December 2023, 16 games ago. 13 of their last 16 opening stands were under 25, six under 10 and three with no runs added.

Previously, during the toss Shubman revealed that all the three World cup winners Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson and Shivam Dube will be included in the Playing XI, which meant that the entire top-order would be malleable. Hence, Gill opened with Jaiswal and Abhishek Sharma came out to bat at number three.

However, as I write Abhishek has also departed after scoring just 10 runs and Ruturaj Gaikwad will be joining his skipper out in the middle.
