In a spectacular display of power hitting, Australia Champions' Ben Dunk lit up Northampton in Match 14 of the World Championship of Legends 2024, scoring a blistering century off just 34 balls against West Indies Champions.

Ben Dunk's explosive innings, decorated with 12 fours and seven sixes, left the crowd and the opposition in awe.

He brought up his hundred in dramatic fashion during the 12th over, hammering Ashley Nurse for two consecutive fours followed by a huge six.

Though Nurse managed to get his wicket on the fourth ball, catching Dunk at deep mid-wicket, the damage was already done in what can only be described as a breathtaking display of pyrotechnics.

After West Indies Champions captain Daren Sammy won the toss and invited the Aussies to bat first, the Australian Champions started their innings off at a scorching pace.

They racked up 67/1 in the powerplay, with Dunk leading the charge and scoring his ton off 34 balls. His dismissal didn't slow the Aussies down as Daniel Christian picked up where Dunk left off, and unleashed a whirlwind 73 off 23 balls, including five fours and eight sixes.

At the time of writing this article, Australia Champions are sitting pretty at 248/6 after 18 overs, with Christian and Nathan Coulter-Nile at the crease.

A score north of 260 seems well within reach. West Indies will need to pull a rabbit out of the hat to chase down this formidable total, but with their arsenal of power hitters, they might just have a fighting chance.
