Hardik Pandya shared an emotional video message to cricket fans upon his desired return to the Mumbai Indians (MI) set-up ahead of the next edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The premier India all-rounder warmed his supporters, anticipating confirmation of his speculated return to MI colours after a surprising one-way trade from Gujarat Titans (GT).

In a heartwarming clip shared on Twitter on Monday (November 27), Pandya recalled the time he was picked by the five-time IPL champions ahead of his debut in the 2013 edition at the auction. The clip featured a series of images of the cricketer training and enjoying his time on the field for the Rohit Sharma-led outfit.

Part of four of MI's five successful title-winning campaigns over eight years until his last appearance during IPL 2021, Pandya seems jubilant upon his comeback even as fans wondered if it was a brewing rift with the Titans franchise that led him down this path.

Pandya Confirms Move To MI With Emotional Clip

Enjoying a tremendous run over two seasons with the Ahmedabad-based side, Pandya emerged as a true leader by guiding them to the trophy in IPL 2022 and helping them finish as the runners-up for IPL 2023.

At the time, no one could've foreseen it to be the 30-year-old's final outing for the Titans, especially with the all-rounder establishing a great culture there in his presence and looking set to continue his association.

However, all the brewing speculations in the past three days have come true, with the player himself confirming his return to MI in a lovely video clip from his time playing for the five-time IPL winners.

MI seems to have planned and worked on Pandya's return for quite some time as they made a trade worth INR 15 crores with the Titans and also released and traded their hefty-pick all-rounder Cameron Green to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) after just one season.
