IND vs AUS 3rd T20I | Playing 11 Prediction, Cricket Tips, Preview & Live Streaming

After dominating the second outing of the five-match series in Thiruvananthapuram, India are set to take on Australia for a decisive edge in the third T20I on Tuesday (November 28) in Guwahati. The Men in Blue look to press home their advantage and take the series honours with two matches to spare against the former T20 World Cup champions.

Suryakumar Yadav's men have pulled off successive wins in the series. Having pipped over the Aussies in the thrilling opener in Vizag, the hosts produced their best allround game in Kerala with a resounding victory by 44 runs. Their batting packed its strongest punch with a total of 235/4 in 20 overs and then restricted the Australians to 191/9 in flat conditions under heavy dew.

The Aussies will have to quickly resolve their issues, particularly as an understrength bowling attack, if they are to stay in contention for the series trophy. Or else, the five-match rubber could feel too long for Matthew Wade and his team with another potential hammering in Assam.

IND vs AUS: Team Previews

India

India have imposed their strength and depth of resources on the equally understrength Australians after resting 13 members of their recent World Cup 2023 squad.

Openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad have laid the perfect foundation before the middle-order duo of skipper Suryakumar and wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan has retained a foot on the opposition's throat to allow end-overs aggressor Rinku Singh his ideal scenarios to walk in to.

The hosts' spin duo of Axar Patel and Ravi Bishnoi has been equally instrumental to their success. The tweakers have not only struck the code with their control and consistency but also provided critical breakthroughs, taking five wickets between them.

The only issue has been the inconsistency of their fast-bowling resources. Under heavy dew, India would've thought their spinners could face the batters' brunt while seamers would establish control. However, it's been the other way around, with the likes of Prasidh Krishna (11.38), Mukesh Kumar (9.00) and Arshdeep Singh (10.88) all three carrying an economy rate above nine.

Australia

The Australians would be disappointed with how their backup resources and overall depth has shaped up in the series, especially with the ball.

Having rested their big-name pace trio of Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood for the series and then lead wrist-spinner Adam Zampa for the first T20I, they would've been warned about the shallow nature of their backup arsenal, with none of their pacers and tweakers posing a convincing outlook.

The only time the Aussies have looked in some sort of control was when left-arm pacer Jason Behrendorff got the ball swinging around in the powerplay for the first T20I in Vizag for figures of 1/25. But his injury-forced absence in the second match further laid bare the tourists' problems.

Twice now they've conceded an above-par score for the conditions with the game in Thiruvananthapuram exposing the likes of Nathan Ellis, Sean Abbott and Tanveer Sangha - three bowlers on whom the Aussie selectors have invested their time and faith.

IND vs AUS: Guwahati Pitch Report

Given that we are still in the early  stages of the Indian winter season, under lights dew has played a massive role in the series. Australian skipper Matthew Wade in fact put his bets entirely on potential dew in the second half in opting to bowl in the second T20I.

The pitch is expected to be more or less the same as in Vizag and Thiruvananthapuram, offering hint of grip and turn, but dew is set to transform it into another batters' paradise with a high-scoring fixture in the offing. Toss and bowling quality will be two key factors once again.

IND vs AUS: Winner Prediction

India start firm favourites to take an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match series in Guwahati. The Australians will have to pull up their socks in the bowling department and put the Indian pacers under pressure when they bat if they are to comeback.
