The WPL 2025 is now all set for its playoffs, but before that there is one final league game to go where Mumbai Indians (MI) will take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the Brabourne Stadium. The Harmanpreet Kaur-led MI side have already qualified for the playoffs, but they need to win this game to go directly into the final.
RCB Hoping To End WPL 2025 On A High
RCB, on the other hand, are already eliminated and only have pride to salvage from the final game. They came into the tournament as the defending champions, but after a bright start to the season, kept losing games consistently and would be hoping to end on a high to make their loyal fans happy.
Now, ahead of the clash, Ellyse Perry, their star all-rounder and leading run-scorer of the tournament is seen doing her bowling drills. She did not bowl for the majority of the tournament because of an injury, but came back as a bowler in the last game and RCB would need her again against mighty MI.
However, for RCB to succeed in the final game, they need players to support Ellyse Perry who has been their lone warrior this season. The captain, Smriti Mandhana came into the tournament with great form but could not make an impact and RCB fans would be hoping that their skipper delivers against MI.
