Ellyse Perry Welcomed Minnu Mani With A Brutal Six

Ellyse Perry, in the middle of yet another masterclass, was batting on 27 when Minnu Mani came in to bowl the 11th over. The off-spinner tossed one up outside off, hoping to lure Perry into a mistimed stroke. but the Aussie had other plans.

In a flash, she shimmied down the track, got to the pitch of the ball and unfurled a brutal slog sweep. The ball took off like a missile and sailed into the stands over mid-wicket. The roar from the crowd told the story as the shot was pure magic, straight from the AB de Villiers playbook.

If there’s one thing RCBW fans love, it’s a batter who can light up the stadium with fearless strokeplay. Perry’s six did exactly that. The Bengaluru faithful, who have seen de Villiers do it time and again, couldn’t contain their excitement as the ball disappeared into the night sky.

Ellyse Perry's Knock Anchored RCBW’s Innings

Perry’s innings wasn’t just about that one six, though. She played the anchor role to perfection, staying unbeaten on 60 off 47 balls. Her knock included three fours and three sixes.

While Perry stood tall, Raghvi Bist chipped in with a fighting 33 off 32 balls while Danielle Wyatt-Hodge added 21 off 18. However, skipper Smriti Mandhana had a forgettable outing, falling for just 8 to Shikha Pandey.
