Legendary South African fast bowler Dale Steyn recently received some handy bowling tips from an unsuspecting USA staff member. The former cricketer is currently in USA as one of the commentators for the ongoing 2024 T20 World Cup.

The staff member in contention politely advised Steyn not to chuck his arm while delivering the ball. The 40-year-old, who played top-flight cricket for South Africa for 16 years, decided to remain humble during the entire session.

In a short video circulating around social media, a USA staff member can be seen handing out bowling tips to South African legend Dale Steyn. 

Much to the amusement of fans, Steyn remained humble in his lessons while the unsuspecting staff member was teaching him the basics of fast bowling.

Dale Steyn is one of the most prominent members of a star-studded commentary panel for the ongoing 2024 T20 World Cup in the West Indies and the USA.

The former South African cricketer announced his retirement from all forms of the game in 2021. 

The legendary Proteas fast bowler picked up 439 wickets from just 93 Test matches for his country. He also collected 260 additional wickets in 125 ODIs and 47 T20I matches combined to finish with 699 international scalps.

Steyn was part of South Africa’s successive Test series wins in Australia, and he unfurled a number of remarkable match-winning spells on tough tours of the Indian subcontinent. Back in 2008, the cricketer won the prestigious ‘ICC Test Player of the Year’ award.
