The ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) likely could be the final year for MS Dhoni, with many fans and cricket experts anticipating the retirement of the Indian legend after this season concludes. 

The legendary wicketkeeper has been the talk of the town in the cash-rich league for his extraordinary performances he played an explosive knock against LSG and smashed 28 runs in 9 balls. 

Ahead of the IPL 2024, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has appointed Ruturaj Gaikwad as the captain of Chennai. In his last five innings, Dhoni has amassed 87 runs at an extraordinary strike rate of 255.88 and remarkably, he is yet to be dismissed this season.

Dale Steyn Praised MS Dhoni For His Stunning Performance In IPL 

MS Dhoni can hit powerful shots and not only entertain the crowd on the ground but also keep fans glued to their screens worldwide and South African bowling speedster Dale Steyn  admitted that he is stuck in front of the TV whenever the legend is playing for CSK. 

Dale Steyn has hailed Dhoni's batting prowess and power-hitting ability. He has also praised him and expressed his admiration for his batting technique. 

He also made a witty and light-hearted remark, the fast bowler shared that his girlfriend has jokingly complained about the Television constantly being on when Dhoni is batting in IPL 2024. 

“Not only has it engulfed the IPL. That’s engulfed many South Africans and myself, to be honest with you, I don’t watch a lot of TV, but I seem to be glued to the seat when the IPL is on (and) my girlfriend says that my TV is broken, it’s stuck on cricket right now IPL and watching MS the other night. That’s exactly what we want to do,” Steyn said on JioCinema.

Chennai Super Kings will play its next match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 23, 2024, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.
