The magnetism of Indian cricketing stalwart Virat Kohli knows no bounds. In a recent heartwarming instance, a specially-abled fan's dream came true at Chennai’s Chepauk stadium which further illustrated the immense adoration Kohli garners from all corners of India.

Amidst the hustle and bustle of fans flocking to buy tickets for India's much-anticipated opening match of World Cup 2023 against Australia on October 8, a fan named ‘Shrinivas’ from Chennai stood out.
The fan held a handmade portrait of Kohli, which he revealed was created after being inspired by Kohli's cover drive nine years ago. Shrinivas further divulged how the encounter took an unexpected twist when Kohli himself approached him.
"He came up to me, asking if I wanted his signature on the portrait. I was like ‘Yes sir’. I was super anxious. It was like a dream come true moment for me. We then took a photo. It was super awesome. He was super kind," an ecstatic Shrinivas shared with the media.
The endearing episode quickly gained traction on social media platforms, proving Kohli's off-the-field charm. " Unlike on the field, off the field, he’s super funny," added the fan.
Meanwhile, fans eagerly await Kohli's return to the pitch after a brief personal hiatus which saw him miss the abandoned warm-up match against the Netherlands.
The Indian team under the leadership of Rohit Sharma is set to take on Australia in what promises to be a thrilling start to the tournament for both sides.
