'Enjoy From Your Home': Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma Issues Warning Before World Cup

In a rather straightforward message, a day before the start of World Cup 2023, Indian batter Virat Kohli has appealed to his friends not to request tickets from him during the tournament.


Kohli sends out clear message to friends and fans ahead of World Cup 2023

Through an Instagram story, Kohli wrote, “As we approach the World Cup, I would humbly like to let all my friends know to not request me for tickets at all through the tournament. Enjoy from your home pls.”

Supporting her husband's sentiments, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma shared Kohli's story on her own profile. She added a note highlighting the importance of respecting Kohli's wish and emphasized not to approach her either if their pleas to Kohli go unanswered.


On the cricketing front, Kohli rejoined the Indian squad on October 4 after a brief personal hiatus in Mumbai. This interlude meant that he missed the practice match against the Netherlands which was eventually called off due to rain. 

However, cricket fans can anticipate his return to the pitch under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy, as India faces Australia in their inaugural game of the season in Chennai on October 8.

In terms of preparation, India's journey hasn't been entirely smooth. Their two scheduled practice matches were abandoned due to inclement weather. 

Despite this setback and limited game time, the Indian team remains optimistic, drawing confidence from their recent 2-1 series victory over Australia.
