Legendary cricketer VVS Laxman could join Lucknow Super Giants' coaching staff ahead of the 2025 Indian Premier League season. Notably, Laxman might not ask the BCCI for a contract extension at National Cricket Academy where he is currently serving as the chief. 

Some reports have claimed that India's former batting coach Vikram Rathour, who has also served as a selector in the past, might succeed Laxman at NCA.

Meanwhile, in a recent development, IPL franchise Lucknow Super Giants have shown interest in adding Laxman to their coaching staff. 

According to The Times of India, the talismanic Indian batter could join the KL Rahul-led team ahead of the upcoming season. 

Laxman, who recently coached team India on their Zimbabwe tour, apparently declined the head coach offer from the BCCI as he didn't want to travel with the team throughout the year. 

So, considering he's not interested in extending his stay at the NCA, the Hyderbad-based cricketer might be keen to join an IPL franchise for a two-three month period. 


KL Rahul to leave LSG and join RCB

According to emerging reports, LSG skipper KL Rahul might join his home franchise Royal Challengers Bengaluru ahead of the IPL 2025. As reported earlier, Rahul might succeed Faf du Plessis as the RCB skipper for the mega event.
