Virat Kohli To Make A Comeback With IPL 2024 - Reports

India’s former captain and attacking batter Virat Kohli has missed the five match Test series of England’s tour of India citing personal reasons. However, a recent source has claimed that Virat Kohli is expected to make a comeback in the upcoming 17 season of the Indian Premier league. 

There have been multiple reports claiming that Virat Kohli has missed the Test series against England due to personal reasons. Initially there were multiple reports claiming that Virat Kohli’s mother is not well however they were dismissed by his elder brother

Recently it was reported that the star player’s wife, the popular Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma is facing certain health issues which has forced Virat to stay out of Cricket and focus on his personal life. Despite multiple speculation there is no hard evidence behind the reason for Kohli's absence. 


Virat Kohli’s spectacular performance in IPL 2023 

The highest run-scorer in the history of the Indian Premier league, Virat Kohli is one of the most important players participating in the tournament. The former captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore, returned back to captaincy for a few matches in the absence of Faf du Plessis. 

Virat Kohli also ended his long century drought in the IPL as he scored two back-to-back centuries towards the end of the tournament, against Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans. In IPL 2023, Virat Kohli scored 639 runs with a strike rate of 139 and an average of 53.25. 

With more than a month pending for the tournament to begin, Virat Kohli will have a lot of time to gear up for the Cricket season and make a strong comeback in the IPL 2024 for Royal Challengers Bangalore, and then the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 which will be held in the USA and West Indies.
