Virat Kohli during India's T20 World Cup 2024 winning celebration in Mumbai (BCCI)
The Indian team celebrated their 2024 T20 World Cup win with a congratulatory breakfast with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on July 4, before taking flight for Mumbai later on the same day to perform a victory parade in Marine Drive and Wankhede Stadium.
Apparently, at a time when the Indian players were going for a buffet breakfast shortly after arriving in Delhi on July 4, senior batter Virat Kohli had a special meal hand-delivered to him by his family.
Kohli had this meal during India’s T20 WC celebration gala
As reported on the Mirchi Ka Varun Dhawan show, Virat Kohli was hand-delivered Chole Bhature by his family from outside during India’s 2024 T20 World Cup winning gala in Delhi.
At a time when Kohli’s teammates and support staff were enjoying their special buffet breakfast, the legendary batter was apparently munching on one of his favourite Indian cuisines.
Shortly after the gala in Delhi, Virat Kohli and the rest of the victorious Indian players travelled to Mumbai to perform an open bus parade for fans from Marine Drive to the Wankhede Stadium. At the iconic Mumbai venue, the Indian team received their Rs.125 crores from the BCCI before they performed a victory lap to the tunes of Vande Mantaram in front of a packed crowd.
Back on June 29, the Indian team outclassed South Africa by seven runs in a hard-fought final to lift the 2024 T20 World Cup in Barbados. The outcome ended India’s 11-year ICC trophy drought, and prompted Virat Kohli to announce his retirement from T20I cricket.
As of now, Kohli is in London alongside his wife and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and their kids.
