Panchayat actor drops all praise for Virat Kohli (X.com)

The lead actor of the popular web series "Panchayat," Jitendra Kumar, recently took to social media to share a heartfelt appreciation post for Indian cricketing icon Virat Kohli to highlight the batter rescuing his team from grave collapse multiple times in ICC finals.

Virat Kohli, after failing to meet his standards for the entire 2024 T20 World Cup tournament, turned up when it mattered the most, i.e. on the eve of the finals. 

With India reduced to 34/3 batting first, Kohli scored 76 off 59 deliveries to guide the men in blue to a competitive total of 176 runs at Barbados.

India ended up winning the T20 World Cup by barest of margins and Virat Kohli was awarded man of the match for his resilience and composure with the bat.

That being said, as India celebrates the historic T20 World Cup triumph, Jitendra Kumar, popular OTT platform actor who featured in hit web series such as 'Panchayat' and 'Kota Factory' shared his appreciation for the legendary batter.

He shared a post on his Instagram handle where Kohli's crucial innings in three major ICC event finals were highlighted. 

From 35 runs knock against Sri Lanka in 2011 ODI World Cup finals to 43 runs scored against England in Champion Trophy 2013 finals to 76 runs against South Africa this year.

The one thing common in all these three innings was the pressure of a collapse Virat Kohli had to endure. In all the three major finals, Kohi walked out to bat with India down at least 2 early wickets. Despite the pressure, each time, Virat Kohli thrived and led India to memorable victories.
