Aaron Jones turned a seemingly impossible task into an easy challenge. Chasing Canada's formidable total of 194-5, Jones, batting at number 4, scored an unbeaten 94 off just 40 balls, hitting 4 boundaries and 10 sixes.

This remarkable innings marks the second-highest score by a debutant in the World Cup, following the legendary Chris Gayle's 117 off 57 balls.

The Barbados-born player also came close to the record for most sixes in a T20 World Cup match. While Jones hit 10 sixes today, Jamaican king Chris Gayle holds the record with 11 sixes in a game during the 2016 T20 World Cup.

A tough chase for US, made easy by Jones hitting

Chasing a daunting target, the USA struggled initially, managing only 48 runs in 8 overs for the loss of 2 wickets. However, Aaron Jones' explosive performance turned the game around.

He led the USA to score 149-1 in the next 9.4 overs with some incredible hitting. It was Aaron Jones who made the crucial difference for the hosts.

Andries Gous provided crucial support for Jones with his innings of 65 runs off 46 balls. After Gous got out, former New Zealand and Mumbai Indians player Corey Anderson came to the crease.

But by that stage, the game was already well in control, largely due to Jones' exceptional performance. Jones had already finished the game by the time Anderson came to bat.
