Aaron Jones showcased his batting prowess with an impressive unbeaten 94, leading USA to a vital seven-wicket victory over Canada in their T20 World Cup debut match. 

Chasing Canada's formidable total of 194/5, USA's Andries Gous and Jones' stellar performances guided them to victory in just 17.4 overs.  His explosive innings, featuring ten sixes and four boundaries, played a pivotal role in USA's successful chase.

The USA allrounder, born in New York but raised in Barbados, bludgeoned the Canadian attack, as he totally changed the momentum of the game in a superb 131-run third-wicket partnership with Andries Gous.


Aaron Jones Opines After Playing Explosive Knock Vs Canada 

After winning the match, Aaron Jones was awarded the man of the match and he expressed himself stating that he had backed himself and that his hard work and practice paid off. 

He also stated that he loves to play when his team is under pressure and contributes significantly as it brings the best out of him. 

To be honest, I  (Aaron Jones) think I drove the process. I just backed myself and what I have practised and it worked out. I like to come in when my team is under a bit of pressure. It brings the best out of me. I'm happy that I could take the side home."

The USA pulled off a great come-from-behind victory as they were asked to chase down the target of 195 runs. However, the hosts did not get off to a great start as the openers fell early on.  Andries Gous and Jones joined hands to press the accelerator button. 

The USA all-rounders smashed the and recorded the fastest T20I fifty for the USA. He also slammed the 2nd highest number of sixes in an innings, i.e. 10 in the T20 World Cup.
