Jasprit Bumrah delivered the stand-out ball of the India versus Bangladesh warm-up match ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024, taking the wicket of Shakib Al Hasan in the penultimate over.

Shakib Al Hasan was batting at a slow pace, scoring 28 runs off 33 balls while chasing a target of 183. Bumrah delivered a short ball angling towards Shakib, which resulted in a catch by the keeper, Rishabh Pant.

Shakib Al Hasan, who is going to play his final ICC tournament alongside Mahmudullah Riyad, was struggling to find his batting form in the warmup game. And Bumrah ended the Bangladesh legend's misery with a superb delivery.

After an early burst from Arshdeep Singh and Mohammed Siraj, Bangladesh were reduced to 41-5. 

It was Shakib Al Hasan, who then steadied the innings and prevented a complete collapse. However, Shakib struggled to maintain a positive strike rate, and his innings progressed slowly.


Pant, Hardik key in Indian win

In the absence of Virat Kohli, India posted a total of 182-5 in 20 overs after opting to bat first. Rishabh Pant scored a fifty, later got retired out, while Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav played quick innings to help India reach a competitive score. 

In response, Bangladesh struggled from the start, with Arshdeep Singh taking two quick wickets at the top. Bumrah, Siraj, Axar Patel, and Hardik Pandya each claimed one wicket, while Shivam Dube took two wickets. Bangladesh's innings ended at 122-9, resulting in a 60-run victory for India.
