Pakistani cricket supporters finally had something to smile about after a frustrating week in sports, thanks to Sidra Amin. The talented batter posted her second straight century in the ODI series against South Africa, becoming the first Pakistan woman ever to post consecutive ODIs hundreds.
Amin’s innings in the 2nd ODI was a brilliant display of skill and calmness. She dominated the South African bowling attack, taking Pakistan to a commanding total of 287/10. Sidra ended her knock of 122 off 110 balls, laced with 13 fours.

Previously, in the first ODI, Sidra Amin had hit 121 runs off 150 balls, including 12 fours. With these back-to-back hundreds, Amin has become the first Pakistan Women to knit 2 consecutive centuries in ODI format.
Out of the 10 ODI centuries ever scored by Pakistan women, Amin alone now accounts for 6, showing just how crucial she has been for her team in recent years.

Pakistan Women Have Lost The ODI Series
That being said, despite a historic show from Sidra Amin, Pakistan Women failed as a collective unit against South Africa Women. After an 8-wicket defeat in the first game, the women in green also lost the 2nd contest by 25 runs, thus trailing 0-2 in the 3-game ODI series.
The third ODI will be held at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on September 22, where Pakistan Women will fight to save their pride in front of their home crowd.
