India Women have encountered some jaw-dropping opposition throughout the years, but on 20th September 2025 in Delhi, Australia Women took it to an entire new level. Batting first, they hammered 412 runs, thereby writing history.

Australia Women have always dominated the rivalry against India Women through their superior skills, temperament and tactical brilliance.

However, in the lead-up to the Women’s World Cup 2025, Australia took it to another level and piled up a record-breaking total. Let’s take a closer look at the top five innings that have shaken India Women in ODIs.

5. 321/6 - South Africa Women, Bengaluru, 2024

Not only Australia, but also South Africa Women also feature in this list with a huge 321-run innings recorded in Bengaluru in 2024. India Women had set up a total of 325 runs batting first after Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur hit a hundred each. 

However, Laura Woolvardt led from the front, hitting 135 off 135 balls before Marizanne Kapp contributed with 114. Despite Laura and Kapp’s heroics, South Africa fell short by 4 runs but found a place on the record list.

4. 332/7 - Australia Women, Vadodara, 2018

Going back to 2018 in Vadodara, Australia had already shown their ability to pile up massive totals against India. In the 3rd ODI held at Vadodara, Australia Women hammered 332 runs thanks to Alyssa Healy’s 113 runs off 115 balls. 

India, meanwhile, failed horribly in the chase. While Smriti Mandhana scored a half-century, the rest of the batting lineup barely scored 40-odd runs, and India Women were bowled out for 235 runs, leading to a 97-run loss.

3. 338/7 - Australia Women, Mumbai, 2024

In Mumbai, Australia Women continued their dominance on Indian soil. Batting first in the 3rd ODI held on January 2, 2024, Phoebe Litchfield (119) and Alyssa Healy (82) knitted a 189-run opening partnership. 

After small contributions from the lower middle order, the Aussies ended their innings at 338/7. In response, India surrendered at 148, with Mandhana being the highest scorer at 29 runs. The humiliation didn’t end there, as the India Women had to suffer a 190-run defeat on their home soil.

2. 371/8 - Australia Women, Brisbane, 2024

In the 2nd ODI of the series held at the Allan Border Field in Brisbane, Australia Women batted first, with Georgia Voll and Ellyse Perry scoring a hundred each. 

Beth Mooney and Phoebe Litchfield also contributed with a half-century each, and that collective effort helped the Aussies post a giant total of 371 runs. In response, India Women once again struggled, succumbing to 249/10. Only Richa Ghosh showed a good fight with 54 off 72 balls.

1. 412/10 - Australia Women, Delhi, 2025

On September 20, 2025, Australia Women smashed the highest ODI innings total against India in Delhi. In the third ODI, the visitors hammered 412 runs in the first inning, marking the first time India conceded 400+ in Women’s ODIs. 

Beth Mooney was sensational, scoring a 57-ball century, equalling the joint second-fastest in Women’s ODI history, and finishing with 138 off 75 balls. Earlier, Georgia Voll (81) and Ellyse Perry (68) laid the foundation, while Mooney dominated with 23 fours and a six.
