The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled domestic contracts for 65 women cricketers, including 23 Under-19 and emerging players, for the 2025–26 season. In a significant upgrade, the contracts have been categorized into Gold and Silver tiers for the first time, with 20 players receiving Gold and 45 awarded Silver status.

These contracts, valid from July 2025 to June 2026, are designed to support Pakistan Women players through a busy calendar of domestic and age-group tournaments. The selection emphasizes both past performance and future potential, rewarding skill and promise across all formats.

PCB Awards Skilled Cricketers With Domestic Contract

The Women’s National Selection Committee, which includes former Test cricketer Asad Shafiq and ex-international Batool Fatima, recommended the players based on recent performances and skill assessments.

Players not included in this initial list will have further opportunities to earn contracts through standout performances in upcoming domestic competitions and regional academy camps. This marks the third consecutive year the PCB has awarded domestic contracts, reinforcing its commitment to deepening the talent pool and strengthening the pathway structure for women’s cricket in Pakistan.

Among them, some significant names like Aman Amin, Ayesha Zafara and Iram Javed secured gold contracts. It is worth noting that in the previous season, the contracts awarded fees as low as PKR 35,000 (approx. USD 125) per month, which was less than the mandated minimum wage for unskilled labourers in Pakistan.
