In a significant development, RCB star seamer Yash Dayal has dealt a heavy blow as Jaipur court has rejected his plea for an anticipatory bail. The left-arm pacer was accused of sexually assaulting a minor and faced the threat of arrest.

Dayal’s lawyer argued in Jaipur POCSO court, stating that the RCB seamer was targeted by a group wanting to ruin his career. However, the court also listened to the minor’s side, and after hearing arguments from both sides, the court decided not to grant anticipatory bail to Yash Dayal.

What is the matter with Yash Dayal?

On June 21, a woman filed a complaint against Yash Dayal for cheating her in a relationship that lasted five years. She claimed that the RCB seamer promised her marriage, but backed out, causing her emotional and physical trauma.

The lady accused Dayal of sexual assault and recently filed an FIR against the 27-year-old.

Recently, a fresh FIR was filed in Jaipur by another girl, who accused Dayal of sexually abusing her when she was a minor. The 17-year-old girl claimed to have been tortured over a period of two years, after being emotionally blackmailed with promises of helping her start a cricket career.

What did the Jaipur court suggest?

An FIR was registered against Dayal on July 6 at Indirapuram police station in Ghaziabad district under Section 69 (Sexual intercourse by employing deceitful means etc.) of the BNS.

In the bail application, Dayal's side argued that the player is ready for co-operation, but he too has cricketing priotieis. However, government lawyer Rachna Maan said the accused allegedly established physical relations with the victim several times by luring her with promises of building a career in cricket.

She further said that even if the minor gives consent, it has no legal value under the law. Therefore, Dayal was denied anticipated bail.

RCB sweat hard in panic

Notably, ever since Yash Dayal got into trouble, he has not featured in a solitary league. The UP T20 League had banned him, but RCB faced backlash for retaining him ahead of IPL 2026. At present, Dayal faces an arrest threat since his bail has been denied. Thus, his participation in IPL 2026 is in danger.
