In a significant development, trouble doesn't seem to be ending soon for RCB pacer Yash Dayal as the left-arm seamer is most likely to be banned from taking part in the upcoming Uttar Pradesh T20 league 2025. The UP Cricket Association (UPCA) is closely monitoring accusations against Dayal and has made a decision not to allow the seamer to play in their premier T20 league.
Dayal Denied Entry In UP League
According to a report from journalist Abhishek Tripathi, Dayal will not feature for Gorakhpur Lions in the upcoming season because of the recent observations from the court in the sexual assault case.
Talking about the UPT20 League, it starts on August 17 with Dayal set to represent Gorakhpur, who bought him for seven lakh rupees. Meanwhile, the Lions' remarked that the UPCA officials have not passed any official order and will wait for a confirmed word before taking any action.
Notably, Dayal was one of the best bowlers in IPL 2025 as he picked up 13 wickets and helped his side lift their maiden IPL title in 18 years.
What Is The matter?
On June 21, a woman filed a complaint against Yash Dayal for cheating her in a relationship that lasted five years. She claimed that the RCB seamer promised her marriage, but backed out, causing her emotional and physical trauma.
The lady accused Dayal of sexual assault and recently filed an FIR against the 27-year-old.
Recently, a fresh FIR was filed in Jaipur by another girl, who accused Dayal of sexually abusing her when she was a minor. The 17-year-old girl claimed to have been tortured over a period of two years, after being emotionally blackmailed with promises of helping her start a cricket career.
In the latest events, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) pacer has now been denied interim protection. Justice Sudesh Bansal, who was hearing the case, mentioned that the next hearing would take place on August 22.
