Tilak Thanks Suryakumar Yadav For Promotion
Reflecting on his scintillating knock, Tilak Varma credited his success at Number 3 to captain Suryakumar Yadav, who showed faith in him and promoting him to No.3.
"Scoring a hundred, I am really happy. I couldn't imagine and I cannot put it down in words. It was my dream, and it was the right time to score a hundred for my team. It's a kind of a decider in the series. Under the pressure, it was a good knock.
All credit goes to the captain, Suryakumar Yadav, who has given me the number three position. Really, thanks to Suryakumar Yadav again. He said to me before the game that I have the potential to bat at number 3. I am really, really happy that he gave me that opportunity. I just wanted to express myself and back my basics," he concluded.
Meanwhile, India is gearing up to meet the home-team one final time in the fourth T20I at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg on November 15.
