History was scripted on November 2, 2025, when the Women in Blue lifted their maiden World Cup title. The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side beat South Africa by 52 runs to end their trophy drought.
The entire India was buzzing on Sunday as the nation was proud of the efforts by the Women in Blue. There was no shortage of support for the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side, as fans turned out in the thousands.
In the latest events, the BCCI is ensuring that the ladies receive equal treatment to the men's team and has also announced a 51 crore prize purse for the Indian women. Now, the fans are awaiting details of the victory parade, similar to the one after the 2024 T20 World Cup.
Meanwhile, this article will shed light on the details of the victory parade and when it will take place.
When is the victory parade for India's World Cup win
In the latest events, a report from IANS stated that BCCI Devajit Saikia spoke to them and revealed that the parade will take place after the ICC meeting. Notably, the meeting will take place from November 4-7 in Dubai, and Saikia has already left for the meeting.
The BCCI secretary added that bringing the Asia Cup trophy back with full honour is the top-most priority, and the victory parade will follow that. Thus, it is fair to say that the much-awaited bus ride will take place after November 7.
“Nothing like a victory parade is planned as of now. I’m leaving for Dubai to attend the ICC meeting. Several officials are heading there as well, so once we return, we will plan accordingly," Saikia was quoted as saying to IANS while speaking from Mumbai airport.
What is the Asia Cup issue?
Notably, following the Asia Cup win, ACC chief Mohsin Naqvi fled from the scene with the trophy and is now refusing to give it away. Thus, the board has officially filed a complaint to the ICC against Naqvi, and the issue will be taken up during the upcoming ICC meeting in Dubai .
