Former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina has joined the Toronto Sixers squad for the upcoming Canada Super 60 2025 season. The Toronto Sixers confirmed Raina’s signing early on Thursday, September 25.

Suresh Raina recently toured England to play the World Championship of Legends 2025 for the India Champions team.

Suresh Raina to return to action through Canada Super 60

Suresh Raina is set to represent Toronto Sixers in the upcoming Canada Super 60 2025 season, as confirmed by the official social media platforms of the franchise as well as of the tournament itself on September 25.

Being dubbed as a “blockbuster wild pick” by the franchise, Suresh Raina will be joining the likes of England’s T20 World Cup winner Alex Hales, 2019 ODI World Cup winner Jason Roy, Australia all-rounders Dan Christian and Daniel Sams and Afghanistan’s explosive opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz in a star-studded 15-player squad.

The Canada Super 60 2025 season will commence on Wednesday, October 8 next month; with Toronto Sixers themselves taking on the Brampton Blitz in the opening match at the BC Place Stadium in Vancouver.

The addition of Suresh Raina will surely boost up the star appeal of the Canada Super 60. A four-time IPL winning cricketer for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Raina holds a colossal fanbase all over the world, and his arrival is set to inject both experience and excitement into the tournament, drawing fans and spotlight alike to Canadian shores.

India’s 2011 World Cup winner confirmed his retirement from international cricket back in mid-2020, a couple of years after playing his final match for the ‘Men in Blue’. The legendary left-hander also played his last IPL season back in 2021 and quite recently featured in the World Championship of Legends 2025 season in England.
