Sri Lanka's Unwanted Record After Their Defeat Against India In The 3rd T20I

Sri Lanka were defeated by India by a 3-0 margin in the T20I series [X]

India won a dramatic match against Sri Lanka in the 3rd and final T20I of the series. This match was being played at the Pallekele Stadium in Kandy.

This match had little significance to the consequence of the series as India had already won the series by winning the first two games. However, the unit was eager to start of the SKY-Gambhir era with a white wash. On the other hand, the Sri Lankan team wanted to win this game and prevent the same from happening.

India's dramatic win

India scored 137 runs off 20 overs in the game, while batting first. In the chase, Sri Lanka had a good start but the messed up towards the end. In a dramatic turn of events and a brilliant over by Surykumar Yadav, the game ended in a tie and rolled to the Super Over.

In the super over, India managed to restrict Sri Lanka to 2/2 and then won the game in only delivery by hitting a four of the first ball. With the defeat, Sri Lanka lost all the tree games in the series and also achieved an unwanted feat. Sri Lanka are now the team with the most defeats in T20I cricket.
