The Indian cricket team is currently in Australia getting ready for the third Test match against the home side. The Border-Gavaskar Series, as they call it is evenly poised at the moment, with both India and Australia winning a match each.

Team India captain, Rohit Sharma missed the first Test in Perth due to the birth of his child and Jasprit Bumrah was appointed the skipper, and it worked wonders. India thrashed Australia in a one-sided affair, but with Rohit back for the second Test, he immediately replaced Bumrah as the captain.

In the second Test in Adelaide, under Rohit's leadership, the coin flipped and the Aussies crushed Indian hopes with a 10-wicket win as they now enter the third Test in Gabba as the firm favourites. However, as per reports, the latest loss in the Pink-Ball Test infuriated chief selector Ajit Agarkar and the former cricketer is set to take harsh decisions once the series gets over.

Future of Rohit-Kohli to be decided soon

Both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are big names and have served the nation for almost 16 years. However, time could be up for them as the chief selector will take a call on their future. As per reports, if India fail to win the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and both Kohli and Rohit fail to deliver, we are in for a tough ride as some harsh decisions could be made, and new faces could be seen from the next WTC cycle.

Gambhir's future also hangs in jeopardy

Just like R0-KO, the future of Gautam Gambhir also hangs in jeopardy. He was appointed the head coach after the T20 World Cup triumph and since then, India has only faced disappointment.

They lost the ODI series Vs Sri lanka and were surprisingly whitewashed by New Zealand at home, something which made Agarkar angry.

Also, the selection of Harshit Rana, one of Gambhir's favourites has raised question on his coaching credibility.
