In the 2-match Test series against West Indies, India went on to whitewash the series, thanks to some outstanding performances from the players. The second match took place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, where the Men in Blue won the game by seven wickets.

India's star bowler Mohammed Siraj received a special award for his brilliant performance in the match. He has been exceptional throughout the matches and has made an enormous contribution to India's victory in both games.

Mohammed Siraj named Impact Player against West Indies

After an impactful performance in the second Test match, Mohammed Siraj was given the Impact Player of the Match by teammate N. Jagadeesan. While Siraj claimed three wickets in the second Test, in the two matches, he picked up 10 wickets and was the second-highest wicket-taker after Kuldeep Yadav (12).

Siraj looked ecstatic while collecting the award from Jagadeesan, who had some kind words to tell about his teammate. In the last Test, Siraj seemed quite dangerous, and his intent was evident on the field. He has proved himself in recent years and has become the go-to bowler for the captains.

Turning the tide in India's favor

Coming in during a phase when the West Indies were beginning to rebuild, Siraj's timely breakthroughs shifted the momentum firmly in India's favor. His sharp bowling dried up runs and forced mistakes, setting the tone for the rest of the Indian attack to capitalize.

With this performance, the 31-year-old bowler not only helped India secure a dominant position but also reinforced his growing reputation as a match-winner in all conditions. The Impact Player Award was a fitting recognition of his influence in a Test where control and consistency were just as valuable as wickets. With the ODI series against Australia approaching, Siraj is likely to be a valuable asset for the Indian team.
