Zimbabwe captain, Sikandar Raza, has been handed a two-game suspension following his breach of the ICC Code of Conduct during the first T20I against Ireland. The confrontation, which involved Ireland's Curtis Campher and Josh Little, resulted in fines for all three players for violating Article 2.20 concerning "conduct contrary to the spirit of the game."

Raza, fined 50% of his match fee and given two demerit points, will miss the remaining two matches of the series. Sean Williams will lead the team in his absence. Campher and Little received one demerit point each and were fined 15% of their match fees. All three players admitted to the charges, with Campher and Little accepting the proposed sanctions without a formal hearing.

The incidents leading to the charges involved Raza aggressively charging towards Campher and Little, Campher charging towards Raza, and Little making physical contact with Raza. The on-field umpires, Forster Mutizwa and Iknow Chabi, along with the third umpire Langton Rusere and fourth official Christopher Phiri, were responsible for bringing the charges.

This controversy has added a dramatic twist to the ongoing T20 series between Zimbabwe and Ireland, overshadowing the on-field action and underscoring the need for players to uphold the spirit of the game.
