Zimbabwe skipper Sikandar Raza etched his name in T20I history by clinching a hat-trick against Rwanda in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa Region Qualifier 2023. Raza's stellar show, wielding both bat and ball, propelled Zimbabwe to a commanding 144-run triumph, keeping their T20 World Cup 2024 aspirations alive.

In another showdown, Namibia asserted dominance over Kenya, restricting them to 104/6. Namibia's disciplined bowling thwarted Kenya's efforts, and a dynamic partnership between Jan Frylinck and JJ Smit secured Namibia's position at the top of the qualifier points table with an unbeaten record.

Despite a crucial win against Rwanda, Zimbabwe finds themselves in fourth place, needing exceptional outcomes for World Cup qualification. Raza's exceptional all-round performance earned him the Player of the Match accolade, marking his sixth this year.

With Namibia leading and Kenya holding second place, the competition for T20 World Cup qualification in the West Indies and USA is heating up.
